About My Business

Hi, my name is Denise Boos, owner of My Pet Lady and a true "pet mama" at heart. I've not only been married to a fellow dog lover for 40 years and have raised five, now grown, canine-crazy kids, but love for our four-legged friends began in my early childhood. Growing up in Newark, Delaware, I was surrounded by an array of pets--from poodles to hunting dogs--all standard fare in my household. Then, when my kids were small, I couldn't help myself; I began pet sitting professionally more than 31 years ago, and have since taken care of hundreds of different animals including dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, fish, reptiles, hamsters and gerbils, and even a pot-bellied pig!

My children have enjoyed hosting all kinds of different dog breeds and their wonderful, varied personalities in our home. We would love to welcome your pet to our family! You have our "Four Paws" Promise that we will provide a safe, fun, and loving environment, giving your pets the personalized attention they need while you're away. We also offer daily walks, home visits, pet taxi service, and house sitting along with home boarding. Special needs such as puppies and administering medication are also part of our service.
