BlueHound Pet Care is locally owned and operated, serving Bahama, NC and parts of Rougemont and North Durham. Whether you need regular or short term dog walks, in-home pet sitting for dogs and cats (at this time we do not offer overnights) or small farm care for horses, goats, sheep, chickens or pet pigs you can trust BlueHound to provide quality, intuitive care.

Leaving pets behind to go on business travel, a well-earned vacation, or working long days away from home can be challenging for both pets and their beloved humans. In your home pet care reduces stress by giving your pet(s) the security of staying in the comfort of their familiar environment. It is an alternative to boarding kennels, which are ideal for some pets but not all, and to burdening family or friends when you can't be there.

BlueHound care begins with a complimentary meet and greet to see if it is a good fit for everyone. We collect important information about your pet(s) including background, regular veterinary clinic location, phobias or habits, whether the pet is a flight risk upon entering or departing, how the pet reacts to your absence, and favorite toys or hiding spots. Most importantly, we learn how to best make your pet the most comfortable while in our care.

All of our team members are dedicated, professional, knowledgeable individuals who are true animal lovers, so you know your pet(s) will be well cared for while you are away. For your peace of mind, BlueHound and all of its team members are bonded and insured. In addition, our team members are up to date on current CDC guidelines to ensure your family's safety, and take extra measures to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus while we care for your pets.
