About My Business

I'm Mary from Dogs, Cats and Chickens LLC in Chapel Hill/Pittsboro , NC. I'm 42 and GET TO live my life working for animals and the owners who love them. What makes me different from every other pet sitter out there? My service goes well beyond fulfilling the basic needs to keep your pets alive. I imagine what their perspective is and do what I would want if I was them. Engaging them, attempting to understand them if they are reactive or aggressive and most of all keeping them as comfortable as possible and allowing them to feel safe.

Rates are determined by factors such as Length of stay, type and number of pets, and service preference (ex.In-Home or Drop-in visits). After our meet & greet, I’ll let you know if your rate exceeds the base rate on the price sheet.

Please note the rates/services form is not exhaustive. I believe in customizing any services to fit the unique needs of my clients. Tell me the animal care that you are seeking or the pet care void you need filled and together we will come up with potential solutions.

I specialize in “In Home Stays”, fully dedicating my time to your pets. I stay home with your pets as much as possible. Come dinner time I am in for the night to tuck your pets in for their bedtime routine.

“Drop-In Visits” are available for chickens, cats, lower-maintenance pets and farm animals.

If you have dogs and are traveling overnight, I do not offer drop-in visits for dogs, unless they are livestock guardian dogs. Please see the specialized services available for dog owners who need support during the day. *Note about In-Home Stays: During In-Home stays, I bring my small dog, "Cashew" (19lbs). He is friendly, tolerant and impeccably house trained. We even have 5 star airbnb reviews . I introduce Cashew to your dogs at the end of the meet and greet with a gentle training technique that has had positive results. (*If you have a large puppy 60 lbs and growing (under 18 months) who is still training and plays rough. Please mention this to me ahead of time.) Cashew coexists peacefully with cats. Two of my regular clients on my reference list have 3 cats and can vouch for his good behavior.
