Serving pets and their owners since 1999.
Pet’s Best Friend of Tampa Bay has been serving pets since 1999, starting first in the Town and Country area of Hillsborough County, and moving to Pinellas County in 2002. We now serve much of northeastern Pinellas County, including Safety Harbor, and portions of Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and Clearwater (including Countryside).
Our services are varied, and include care for dogs, cats, birds, fish and various other small pets. We offer services that include regular dog walking, overnights, administration of medications, and assistance in reinforcing your dog’s training. We also provide basic service for your home while we care for your pets, including mail and newspaper pickup, altering of lights and blinds, plant watering, and taking garbage to the street for pick up. Whether you’re traveling for business or vacation, or if you’re working, and you pet needs a mid- day outing, we’re happy to do it. We work with your schedule and the needs of your pet, so we can keep your pet as close to its routine as possible.
Pet’s Best Friend of Tampa Bay is owned by Ken and Darla Klein – long time pet owners and life-long pet lovers. Ken was initially the sole owner of the business, but in 2002 Ken and Darla married, and since then they’ve operated the business together. Darla is originally from eastern Pennsylvania, where it gets cold and snows a lot in the winter. Ken is originally from western New York, where it gets cold and snows a lot in the winter. Darla has B. A. in music from Temple University, and Ken has a B. A. in history from USF. Ken has also dabbled in Master’s level history studies.

"I have one of the worst dogs on the planet. She is high strung and is frightened of everything. She fears a gentle breeze, people whispering a block away or grass growing. A cat or dog in the neighbor's yard is viewed as the beginning of Armageddon. She is sure everyone is trying to kill her. So, I was worried about leaving her for a week. I called PBF. Over many years they have cared for generations of my critters. Ken kept me updated and I came home to a happy dog. I highly recommend PBF to care for your babies, even the "problem children"."
