About My Business

I enjoy being around animals. I have been volunteering at animal shelters for over 10 years. I have been assisting people with their pets for many years as well. I grew up with dogs and cats. I currently share my home with 4 rescued shelter cats. The first 2 were not siblings, however they did bond at the shelter and 12 years later, are still happy to be together. The two newer additions were from a hoarding situation.

As a volunteer at Chicago Animal Care and Control, I have been finger printed and background checked. I have gone through the same process at a different time to enable me to volunteer at the Veterans Administration in Chicago. I am a Reiki Master and often am able to help animals be more calm and centered by offering Reiki to the animals. Reiki is a non invasive energy therapy. The purpose is to calm and re-balance the companion's energy. Once the energy is balanced, the animal or person is better able to calm, relax &/or heal. I feel that practicing Reiki on myself daily allows me to present a calm reassuring presence to the cats I sit for. I look forward to meeting you and your cat companion(s).
