About My Business

Katie Tan, the owner of Cuddles & Care, has worked as a nurse since 2006. After years of working part-time with animals and constantly filling her home with clients & Humane Society fosters, she decided to follow her heart and make the switch to full-time animal care!

Cuddles & Care was born & has been winning awards ever since!

We offer full-time care, 7 days a week, in your home or ours: drop-in visits, various lengths of dog walks, overnight care, house sitting, boarding, & pet transportation.

What initially started as a small family business has now expanded into a team. Two women are full-time and are 100% dedicated to this job! (Brittany, the other full-timer, is a former nurse as well.) There are also 2 part-timers that help so coverage can be provided every day of the year! The team works together so that you don't have to stress about finding a last minute back-up. The only time we have to say no is when we are fully booked, which does happen! So make sure you book as early as possible. We often have bookings a year in advance.

Our insured & bonded services are open to any type of animal in Gainesville, FL! If we are providing care in your home, then you must be within our 5 mile service radius. (*5 miles from the Millhopper Freshmarket) If you are looking to board at Katie’s house, then clients from anywhere are welcome.

For those that meet our requirements, we board dogs, cats and small caged animals in Katie’s kennel-free home. For any cats or small animals that want their own space, there is an entire VIP room dedicated to boarders. This special room (complete with cat climbing shelves, multiple cat beds, tunnels, toys and a big window to sunbathe in) can only be booked by one client at a time. It is an entire room just for one family.
