About My Business

Lorrie began her career nearly two decades ago caring for area pets, and has raised the bar with her knowledge, professionalism and phenomenal communication skills. She is also a writer who, even during her time with AnnArbor.com & MLive, made it her mission to elevate the conversation about many pet-related topics, especially the human-animal bond. These days, her writing can be found twice-monthly on her blog, Animals Unfolded. She is highly experienced in all aspects of pet care, & is also member of Animal Hospice Group, International Association of Animal Hospice & Palliative Care, Doggone Safe (dog bite safety educator), Association for Pet Loss & Bereavement & is certified in Pet First Aid, including the newest veterinary CPR guidelines. Lorrie has the respect of local clinical, house call & hospice veterinarians as well as veterinary specialists. As a Certified Animal Hospice Practitioner, she specializes in the care of pets in their senior & geriatric years, and pets who are receiving palliative & hospice care under a vet's oversight, a field that she is an industry leader in. The focus of Lorrie’s practice is providing care to and supporting families with senior and geriatric pets, pets who’ve received a life-limiting illness and pets in end-of-life.

Lorrie is also experienced in tending to anxious pets and those with diagnosed with separation anxiety. She confidently offers overnight stays, respite care, and more in the greater Ann Arbor area. Sorry, boarding and daily pet sitting services are not offered.
