About My Business

Purrfect Paws LLC was established in 2014, and is fully bonded and insured. We strive to provide the very best care for your pet(s) in your own home, where they are the most comfortable and secure. Our "Appointment Scheduling" ensures that our sitters come at the precise time you request. We offer full-service pet sitting, including feedings, administering medications, litter box care, and dog walking. Additional services include home care, such as alternating lights, mail and newspaper pick up, opening and shutting blinds and drapes, and plant care.

Owner & sitter, Jo Shoesmith, is a board member of the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County, a no-kill animal shelter. Prior to establishing a pet care service, Jo was employed as the executive director at an assisted living community in Leesburg, Virginia and worked with an organization that served individuals with developmental disabilities in Frederick, Maryland.

Jo is "mom" to two dogs and four cats, and has lived in Harpers Ferry, WV since 1989.
