About My Business

Hello my name is Shannon I am excited to tell you a little about my professional pet care service. Pet Parade Plus has been proudly serving Kingston and surrounding area since 2000. Kingston's best choice for all of your pet care needs. Locally owned and operated right here in Historical Kingston Ontario. We are fully bonded and insured with pet specific insurance with Binks the Canadian insurers for Pet Sitter International members. We have been claim fee since the beginning and do our best to continue to be claim fee. Your pets are our number once concern and we work with clients to keep with their pets training and regular routines. All of our team is background and reference checked for your security.

One of our main missions is to help clients keep their pets. Our different dog walking services are designed for every dog regardless of age or ability. Our 30 or 60 min leash walks in your neighborhood keep your pet in familiar territory. These walks help break up your dogs day when your are at work or away. We follow clients current training methods to make sure your dog is not confused by what he/she has been taught. Additionally we offer off leash dog walking groups. Our group walks are for higher energy dogs with strong recall. Please note for safety we only take medium and large breed dogs off leash and our pack numbers are limited.

Pet sitting is an important part of our service (please note we do not board pets. Home boarding is prohibited in Kingston, Ontario). Pet sitting as defined by Pet Sitters International and the Websters dictionary is visits to your home to care for your pet. Each visit to your home is tailored to your pets needs. Visits can include dog walks, feeding, fresh water, litter scooping and more.

We also offer hotel sitting in Kingston, Ontario. Are you visiting our beautiful historic city with your dog? Kingston has many dog friendly hotels to choose from. Let us take your dog on their very own tour that includes our beautiful city park and the largest population of squirrels your dog will ever see!

In closing I would like to tell you about our community involvement. As a third generation Kingstonian and the daughter of 30+ year auxiliary Ontario Provincial Police member my father instilled in me not only a strong work ethic but the love of doing more for my community. Currently Pet Parade Plus and our clients run a bottle drive to help raise funds for The Land O' Lakes Rescue Petting Farm. For 5 years we ran the Kingston collection during the Pet Sitters International Hungry Bowl Pet Food Drive and raised thousands of pounds of food for the Kingston Humane Society and other local animal charities. We have donated to hundreds of charities when they have been looking for silent auction donations, attended countless events in and around Kingston and my door is always open to any and all charities needing help. During our Kingston City council meetings for our Responsible Pet Ownership program as well as the mission of residents to establish off leash dog parks we were there. This isn't just a job for myself and my team this is a life calling.
