About My Business

Hello,

I have been in business for over twenty years. I specialize in overnight pet care/ in-house pet care. I also provide daily dog walking services, will bring in your mail and papers, and water your plants. Initial consultations are free.

The question I am asked most often is, "Other than dogs and cats, what other pets have you cared for?" Over the years I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, several lizards, two snakes, a few frogs, one turtle, two rabbits, four chinchillas, an outdoor squirrel, and one chipmunk. My job is never boring!

Another question I am asked is "How did you choose your business name?" I named my business after the first dog I was paid to pet sit-- Spike! Spike was my brother's German Shepherd and became part of our family on my 10th birthday. When my brother and sister-in-law got married, Spike moved with them. When they traveled, I had the pleasure of taking care of Spike. When my brother would call to check on his dog he would ask "How's the camper?" I would reply, "He's a happy camper!" When it came time to name my new pet sitting business, I thought of Spike, my first "Happy Camper" and voila, I had the perfect name. Yes, that is 10 year old me and Spike in my profile picture.
