Aunt T has proudly attained the Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) designation. This prestigious, federally trademarked certification can only be earned by dedicated pet care professionals who have showcased their expertise and skills through the nation’s sole knowledge-based assessment tailored exclusively for professional pet sitters. As a devoted pet parent, you can rest easily knowing that you are entrusting your beloved companion to a seasoned expert, well-versed in optimal pet care, pet health, and ethical business practices, and committed to ongoing education in the noble art of pet care.

In order to maintain our credentials we must successfully pass a CPPS exam every three years, which assesses our knowledge in various areas, including dog and cat behavior, basic anatomy, common diseases, animal first aid and health, parasites, sanitation, pet loss, and health and safety for pet sitters. Additionally, the exam covers business operations, customer service, disaster planning, ethics, legal issues, pet sitter liability, marketing, office procedures, and much more.
