About My Business

Hello from beautiful Napa, California. My name is Maria Giaccio. Having always lived with animals (dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, and a lovebird) it felt like the natural and obvious choice for me to start a business related to the care of animals.

For several years I volunteered with local rescues, caring for and training foster dogs in my home. I was a member of and training assistant at the Napa Valley Dog Training Club for 10 years. Dogs that board with me will receive training in basic household manners.

In my home I offer daycare and boarding for small dogs 20 pounds and under.

Daycare and Boarding include:

• Walks (around the neighborhood – or farther if approved by the owner)

• Feeding (1-2 times per day depending on your dog’s schedule). Fresh water available always.

• Play (including toys and enrichment activities)

• All of the snuggles they want

• If you are a student at the NVDTC and will need to be away during a session, schedule permitting, I will take your dog to class so they don’t miss any classroom time.

Daycare and Boarding requirements:

• All vaccinations must be fully up-to-date and kept on file

• Dogs are crated overnight and if I need to be out of the house so crate training is a must.

• A playdate is required before an agreement for care can be set up with a new client. We need to be sure that your dog is going to be ok with me, my animals, and my home. Your pet's comfort is very important to me. Some dogs need more than one or two visits before they are ready to be left, so waiting until days or the week before your trip is not the best plan.

• Remember - playdates are FREE and good for everyone.

Care in your home for cats (Napa only):

• Twice daily visits

• Play time

• Light grooming, if the animal allows it
