About My Business

4 Paws Dog Walking & Pet Sitting proudly and professionally provides custom, loving pet care visits at your pet’s home. I offer a free initial consultation and a “no penalty” cancellation policy. I specialize in leashed, neighborhood dog walks and pets with special needs, including feral cats, older dogs, and dogs with behavioral, physical or medical restrictions. For example, some dogs chase cars, do not like loud noises or are free spirits and cannot run loose at off-leash dog parks. Others cannot attend doggie daycare due to age, aggression, visual or auditory impairments, arthritis or other mobility issues. Some pets are post-surgical and/or need medication or have breed limitations. I do administer medication in pill or liquid form, orally and in ears. (I do not offer insulin injections.)

4 Paws Dog Walking & Pet Sitting also accepts kitten, cat & small caged animal clients (guinea pigs, gerbils, ferrets, chinchillas, rats, bearded dragons, iguanas, frogs, etc.) When circumstances permit, I will transport a customer’s pet home from the vet’s or daycare. I leave detailed, hand-written notes or send text messages and photos documenting the pet’s activities during visits.

I also provide weekend, evening, holiday, vacation, and family emergency pet care visits as well as vacation and emergency house watching services, including: setting alarm system, adjusting lights and blinds, watering plants and gardens, putting out trash. I’ve had puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, and chameleons as my own personal pets and I care for my clients’ pets as if they are my own. The pets know it and their pet parents acknowledge it! I constantly receive emails and texts from my customers thanking me for coming home to happy pets!

4 Paws Dog Walking & Pet Sitting is the Recipient of the Angie's List Super Service Award. I am a certified professional pet sitter, certified in Pet First Aid (American Red Cross) and a volunteer with the Newton Police Department's Animal Response Team.
