I met my wife Kim in 2015 at our church. It was love at first sight. She was beautiful, funny, kind, and I think she loved animals more than I did which is no small feat. As we got to know each other we talked about our hopes dreams for the future and one thing we both wanted to do was be involved with animals. We decided that we wanted to start animal rescue somewhere but we weren’t exactly sure of the location. One summer day while we were driving Kim turned to me and asked me, “what should we name our rescue?” Without hesitation I replied, “The Good Shepherd.” You see I had that name in mind for a very long time. When we got home, Kim went into a box in the cellar and pulled out a business plan that was titled “The Good Shepherd Sanctuary” and thus we both knew it just had to happen. We got married in 2016 and after our honeymoon I decided to pursue our dream. We moved to Gloucester, MA and I began walking dogs. We have since moved to Northford, CT where we walk dogs, do drop in pet visits, and pet sit in our home on our farm. We also will pet sit in your home if you like. We still have dog walking services in Gloucester, MA.
