About My Business

After retiring from a 32 year career working for the Department of Defense, I knew I wanted to pursue a meaningful second career. After struggling to find someone to watch my own cats during vacations, I knew there was a real need for someone who was dependable, honest, and had the same love of cats that I did. Then it struck me - why not me? I read everything I could find about Pet Sitting and the more I read, the more I knew this was something I could do. After taking care of my friends cats for several years, I launched The Cat's Meow in 2005 and haven't looked back. This has been the most rewarding decision and I love every minute I spend with my client’s cats. It is especially rewarding when a client tells me I will never see their cat, only to gain a new best friend curled up and purring on my lap. I've learned that each cat has its own purrsonality and I love catering to each and every one. Taking care of your cat as if it were my own and giving you the peace of mind knowing you don't have to worry while you are away is my ultimate goal. The best compliment I can get is hearing how calm and relaxed your cat was when you returned home!
