Happy Paws Inn & Resort dog boarding, day care and pet sitting aspires to be the home-away-from-home for your beloved furry non-human animal family members.

I am located in Port Townsend and serve East Jefferson County. I have more than 40 years of experience with taking care of animals. I offer dog walks, visits, day care, overnight sitting and boarding. I completed my Pet CPR and First Aid course in December. I am comfortable with animals with special needs and have a soft spot for senior animals. I recently returned from volunteering at an animal rescue abroad where I learned to become comfortable with challenging situations and dogs, cats and goats in need. I recently left my office job in human resources to dedicate myself fully to Happy Paws Inn and Resort. I am studying animal behavior and the human animal bond. My dog Bella saved my life. I know how important our animals are to us humans. My philosophy is that I provide safety and fun to the animals I care for. I am not trained as a trainer and do only positive reinforcement. I understand enough to know that screaming at your animal or treating them with disrespect for doing something we humans don't like, is not helpful many times. Animals do what they do because they most of the time have a good reason for it. I focus on keeping your animals safe and I like to be their good auntie. I also wait for you animal to come to me before I cuddle them up. They might not like my kisses and I want to respect their boundaries.
