About Me:

Hi! My name is Marissa I live in the small town of Red Hook with my husband, my miniature dachshund named Leo, dachshund mix Autumn, & my cat Tudi. I graduated a SUNY school in NY (2018) with my Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology along with a certificate of completion as a certified veterinary assistant.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

I work at a veterinary hospital in the lower Hudson Valley as a CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) & the head kennel technician. I have 6+ years of experience working in the veterinary field and learn new objectives every day.

An advantage of working in a hospital is being present for certain situations and certain procedures when it comes to pet care. For example, I am capable of applying/administering oral/topical/transdermal medications to your pets along with administering fluids ie. SQ (subcutaneous fluids) and or insulin injections.

HOW API WAS FOUNDED:

All Paws In - Pet Services was founded in 2015 when it started as a final assignment in one of my entrepreneurial courses in college. I continued to add more information about API and decided to make it a reality! I started taking on small clients that have known me through my town and started to grow rapidly! Never did I think starting a small business from a college course would make me the happiest to create my own business from the ground up!

WHAT I OFFER - SERVICES:

API offers many different services that vary with pricing/availability. One of my main priorities is I want to make sure I can fully commit to your furry family while you are away. With that being said, I do work at the veterinary hospital and have another sales job. However, I do my absolute best to accommodate all my clients and their pets. If you have dates in the future and I am unsure if I am able to inform you what my availability is, it is most likely due to my schedule not being readily available to me. In this situation, I do have other pet sitters references if you have a short waiting time. Other than that, I will try and get an available date for you ASAP.

My main service provides house visits (one or even multiple depending on my work schedule), where I will take your animals out (if necessary) feed, water, and give lots of love an attention. Prices vary on length of stay and duties. if you don't have any dogs in your home, I still can stop in to check on your kitty(kitties) and make sure they have food, water, a clean litter box, and to even just have some human interaction. I will make sure there are lights or even white noise in the back so it is not so lonely while you're away.

PRICE:

The price is all dependable on: number of animals, length of stay, amount of visits, holiday, my credentials/experience, mileage, extra duties, and my overall performance as your pet care provider. Having a certified pet sitter with veterinary background, schooling, professionalism, being insured & bonded, and someone that you know will take care of your extended family is a HUGE bonus. I take my job VERY seriously when it comes to client's animals and treat them as if they were my very own. My main goal is to make sure they are as happy and comfortable as possible while you are away.

Payment is due upon ARRIVAL OF MY FIRST INITIAL VISIT. I do accept: ApplePay, Venmo, Cash, and personal checks made payable to cash. Thank you highly in advance!
