About My Business

Established August 2014, the name "Affinity, the Love of Dogs, derived from just that -- the love of dogs! Affinity specializes in dog sitting for small breed dogs (less than 25 lbs), and older than 2 years, in my home. My home is their home, eliminating the possible anxiety and boredom of boarding. While I follow all of the owner instructions (e.g. what they are allowed to do/not do), they have access to the entire house and are not crated unless specified by the owner. Plenty of walks, play, treats and love! Affinity is insured, bonded and certified as a Professional Pet Sitter. I conduct meet and greets before accepting assignments. All my business comes through referrals or PSI member profile service. My business is 100% repeats. I am the sole care taker of your pet(s); I do not have a staff nor do I use external contractors. I do my best to keep appointments small and take no more than two dogs at any one time. I own a King Charles Cavalier who has been well trained and she loves doggie guests to play with. If new clients want referrals, they are available upon request. I do not have a website and prefer all interactions with potential clients be on a personal basis. In my previous career, I owned a training consulting business and specialized in creating performance based training curricula for corporate businesses. This business is very different but requires many of same skills. Please note that since my clients bring their dogs to me, I did not designate below zip code service area.
