SoulMates Animal care partners with the Guardian to give the best care for their animal. Life Cycle care begins with puppies all the way through elder care. We provide multiple services, including Puppy Care and Training, Group Dog Walks, Solo Dog Walks, Cat Visits, House sitting and 24 Hour care in our homes. Soulmates nurtures long term relationships with the Guardians. SoulMates Animal Care was established in 1993 and since then has been serving Marin County and SF with wonderful care.

SoulMates Animal Care works with a diverse and amazing group of caregivers, who provide services to our clients.

SoulMates insures that all the caregivers are fully vetted through a rigorous screening and interview process, which includes a fully comprehensive background, criminal, employment, and credit check.

We have many fruitful and long term relationships with our dog walkers, house sitters and cat care givers, who in turn have provided the utmost in care to our clients and their animals, sometimes for generations.

The integrity of our caregivers speaks for itself in the love and dedication our clients and their animals receive. They are the foundation of SoulMates and go above and beyond for each and every living creature in their care.

SoulMates Animal Care was founded by Karla Rasmussen in 1993. She and her father rescued a dog named Rusty and this was the beginning of Karla’s passion for caring for animals. In the last 24 years, Karla has built a company in which integrity and relationships with her clients and their animals are the core of its foundation. Karla is a founding member of and sits on the board of the Marin Pet Care Association, a group dedicated to promoting best practices for professional dog walkers, sponsoring classes and events in Marin County. She also sits on the board of Marin County Dog, and worked with them to oppose and successfully block the severe limitations on dog walking in Marin County proposed recently by the GGNRA. Karla brings her wealth of experience to every client and their animals, offering guidance, support and her deep commitment to the well being and joy of the animals in her company’s care.
