About My Business

Critter Sittin’ Sisters is a partnership between Penny & Valerie Smith that is a long time dream come true. We grew up in a small mid-Western town and left home after high school to join the Navy. Our lives took different paths, but after 25 years we both ended up in Atlanta. We started our business in 2009, and our pet care experience is vast and varied. Animals have always been a special part of our lives. Penny has worked at a marine park & a veterinary clinic, volunteered at a Greyhound rescue, and pet sat for friends and family prior our business. She was also a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Florida. Valerie pet sat for friends and family & worked at a national pet store chain, while obtaining her bachelor's degree in Psychology. We are bonded and insured and members of PSI & NAPPS. We are certified professional pet sitters through Pet Sitters International, and we are trained in pet first aid and CPR. We pet sit for dogs, cats, birds, fish, chickens, caged pets, reptiles & amphibians. We are experienced in administering diabetic shots, fluids, and other medications needed. we currently offer morning, midday & evening visits with your pets. We come to your home and spend about 30 minutes with them. We feed, water, walk, play, clean up any mess, scoop litter box poop, administer meds if needed, and give lots of TLC! We also take care of the home needs such as trash to curb, bring in mail/newspaper, water plants, & alternate lights.
