About My Business

Following current recommendations for pet care during COVID-19.

I started my company when we moved to the Summerville area in 2007. Having worked in both a boarding kennel in New Mexico and a home style day care/boarding facility in VA, I decided that pet sitting was the best option for me. Pet sitting allows me to give pets the specialized care that I believe is essential for the safety and comfort of family pets.

I formed B.M.S. Pet Sitters LLC, named after my dogs Betty, Mallory and Suzy, and have been happily servicing the Summerville area ever since. I have continued my education over the years through PSI, maintaining my certified pet sitter status, and took pet CPR and First Aid class through the Red Cross, as well as the PSI pet first aid course. I continue to keep active insurance and bonding, as well as a business license.

I pride myself in taking the best possible care of your pets while you are either on vacation or just have a long day at work. My pups at home are my family, and I treat all animals in my care as if they were my own.

I want you, as the client, to feel like you have nothing to worry about at home. I send pictures and updates on daily activities, as well as leaving daily visit notes. I provide a free meet and greet before starting any new job. During meet and greet we will go over details about your pets and your home. At this time, contract will be signed, and pet care instructions will be written out and detailed. Anything from medications and feeding to your pets personality. Home details include, trash days, what lights to alternate on and off, watering of plants and any other details required.
