About My Business

Joyful Pet Sitting offers socialization, play dates, overnights, drop-in visits, dog walks, medication administration and more.

Joyful Pet Sitting is insured, bonded and provides knowledgeable care in a fun and caring way.

Joy has worked with giant breed dogs with aggression issues for over three decades. She grew up on a small family farm and experienced with livestock and companion animals.

She keeps several aquariums of freshwater tropical fish.

Joy’s background is in biology and design so you can rest assured that she excels at problem solving. She has hundreds of training hours under her belt and has volunteered for VIPP, PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and currently volunteers with Haven Rescue on Vashon.

Joy loves that her days are filled with so much mutual affection with the animals in her care.

Joy moved to Vashon in 2011 from Seattle and is sixth generation Washingtonian. She loves the slower pace and rural setting of island life.

Joy has great relationships with the island’s vet clinic staff, professional trainers and other pet sitters on island and feels fortunate to be part of such a great animal loving community.
