Pet Sitters International launches #petsitterlife initiative with a 30 day challenge
The association is sharing videos, tips and resources to help professional pet sitters live their best #petsitterlife.
KING, N.C. (January 7, 2019) — Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s leading educational association for professional pet sitters, has launched its new #petsitterlife initiative with a 30 day challenge to help pet sitters set themselves and their businesses up for success in 2019.
PSI’s #petsitterlife 30 day challenge, open to all professional pet sitters and dog walkers, began Jan. 2 and runs through Jan. 31. Each week of the challenge, PSI is addressing important topics like goal setting, establishing boundaries, building a support network and preventing burnout. As part of the challenge, PSI is hosting live videos on Facebook and Instagram each Monday through Thursday morning of the challenge.
“Professional pet sitting is more than a career—it’s a lifestyle,” said Beth Stultz-Hairston, PSI’s vice president, marketing and operations. “That’s why PSI launched its #petsitterlife initiative: to highlight the unique joys and challenges of the pet-sitter lifestyle.”
For nearly 25 years now, PSI has provided professional pet-care business owners with the business tools and educational resources they need to succeed in this growing industry, and the new #petsitterlife initiative is part of PSI’s ongoing efforts to equip pet sitters.
“We understand that professional pet sitters need easy-to-access business tools and pet-care resources, but they also need advice on juggling personal obligations, finding work-life balance, combatting compassion fatigue and more—all while owning and operating a professional pet-sitting service,” Stultz-Hairston explained.
After PSI’s 30 day challenge, PSI will continue to share #petsitterlife content, tips and resources through the PSI member magazine, Pet Sitter’s World; PSI’s weekly member email, Your Weekly Scoop; The PSI Blog; and other media.
