Attend PSI's Pet Sitter World Educational Conference...
on the Dotty Shantz Scholarship!

Each year one PSI member is awarded the Dotty Shantz Scholarship to help them attend PSI's annual in-person conference.

The scholarship recipient will receive up to $1,000 to help cover the costs of travel, hotel room and conference registration to PSI's Pet Sitter World Educational Conference. 

All applicants must be active PSI members in good standing at the time of the application submission, as well as at the time of the conference. 

Applications for the 2024 scholarship will be accepted through March 15.

More about the Dotty Shantz Scholarship...

This special PSI scholarship was established in honor of Dotty Shantz, who served PSI members in several positions from the day PSI opened its doors on March 17, 1994, until her retirement in September, 2005. 

Dotty’s commitment to PSI’s goal of excellence in pet sitting was evident in the caring advice and support she provided to PSI members.  Believing wholeheartedly that the education and networking opportunities available to members were keys to success, Dotty always encouraged attendance at PSI’s annual conference.  To honor her legacy, the Dotty Shantz Scholarship was created when she retired to allow one PSI member to attend the annual conference each year with scholarship proceeds paying up to $1,000 in registration fees, travel costs and lodging.
