About My Business

David’s Dog Handling has newly returned to Ann Arbor. I specialize in (minimum) hour-long walks. Louis (my dog) and I had been serving the Ann Arbor community since 2015 and we are pleased to have recently come back to our home base. I have never encountered a dog that could not quickly adapt to our forest-walking pack. We might need to spend a little effort to ensure that all the dogs understand what is involved in following the leadership on our journeys, but I have found that, young pups or old, our canine friends take readily to these expectations, and that their sense of responsibility and accomplishment pays dividends in their home life as well.

Rain or shine, in blazing heat or snow and sleet, I’ll be pleased to take your dog on our walks. And I’ll be attentive to make sure that your pup will enjoy the conditions on our adventures.

I would be pleased to take your friend into my home while you are away, or for a period of training. And I would be honored to be invited to mind your familiars in their home and yours.

If Louis and I sound right for you and your pups and other friends, or if you have any questions, please contact me below or through DavidsDogHandling.com or through (734) 883-0534. I’ll get back to you ASAP--Phone receives fastest response.

What my clients say:

"I can’t recommend David highly enough. For nearly a year, David and Louis, his dog, have been working with my dog, Ramona, and it has transformed the both of us. A dog who was hesitant to get her paws wet on the trail now jumps right into a creek for a drink. She is working on greeting new dogs with less (ideally no) leash lunging, and David has helped us reel this behavior in significantly. Her self confidence has ballooned to the point where she makes almost cartoonish jumps onto boulders on the trail and enjoys carefree sprints around the backyard. David has cared for Ramona in his home as well as mine. He has been mindful of her food and exercise needs, and he spends plenty of time cuddling and relaxing with her. He is a trustworthy dog lover who will tailor his care to your needs & treat your pups with the respect they deserve. He’s a rare breed himself!"

" David Breher has been providing for my dog Oscar in my absence for six years. He has boarded Oscar in his home and has also stayed in my house with Oscar and his o wn dog Louis. I walk with David and his retinue of charges and can attest that he is dedicated to each one of them as he continues to train them and also show them a good time David is honest and fair in his interaction with pets and humans — he can be trusted and relied on (He also cared for and fed my fish and watered my plants) "

"Dave watched my fur baby for 3 days while I was in the hospital my dog came back with a new attitude he's more confident Dave worked on him with commands and I was absolutely blown away at how easily I got him to do things like jump up on my bed wait for me to finish putting the food in his bowl before gobbling it down I wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else I have seen Dave for years with dogs he has a real connection with them he's gentle he's kind and he's very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior he's kind of like a dog whisperer really he's great if you're looking for somebody who's your guy him and Lewis give him a call you won't regret it I will give Dave out of five stars I'd give him six"
