About My Business

Pitter Patter Parenting offers pet care, education and support through the following services:

1. consultations to families on selecting and integrating a new pet into the home, and providing a safe environment for kids and pets

2. classes for kids and expectant parents on pet care and safety, new dog classes for adults

3. pet loss counseling and support groups

4. dog walks, pet visits and small dog boarding.

With a BA in Early Childhood Education and a MA in Counseling Children and Adolescents, Alicia has worked on behalf of children and families for 35 years. She has also worked in the animal welfare arena for the last 20 years.

Alicia is a certified Pet Loss Specialist, a certified Dog Bite Prevention Educator, certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, and a PSI Certified Professional Pet Sitter. Over the last 15 years, Alicia has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education in pet health and behavior. It is her goal to help families manage pets in a way that keeps everyone healthy, happy and safe.
