Professional Petsitter Ready to Spoil Your Pet!
After 35 years of being a pediatric nurse, I decided to retire and pursue my love for animals. I became a professional petsitter and animal advocate in 2018 and I have loved every minute of my new career! I volunteer for a local rescue group and have had the pleasure of fostering several dogs. I have owned small and large dogs and feel very comfortable caring for every size. I currently own an English Mastiff, an Italian Mastiff, an American Staffordshire Terrier, and a miniature Dachshund. I have also owned and cared for many cats over the years. My nursing background has prepared me to care for senior pets, pets requiring hospice or palliative care, pets with medical conditions such as diabetes, Cushing’s syndrome, seizures, and paralyzed pets. My rescue work, as well as my personal experience, has exposed me to animals with various temperaments as well as behavioral issues. I can help with separation anxiety and show you various behavior modification techniques. I am comfortable giving all types of medication to include injections and subcutaneous fluids: I am trained in pet first aid and CPR. I am a member of Pet-sitters International (PSI), ASPCA, and the Humane Society. My belief that knowledge and education are necessary to provide the highest level of care for the pets in my care drives me to continually update my knowledge base by attending educational seminars, viewing educational materials, and reviewing current literature on both animal behavior and medical issues
As a pet owner, I understand how difficult it is to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care. You will find me to be dependable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and honest. Your pet will receive lots of love and attention while you are away. Photos and updates will be provided daily. Allowing me to care for your precious fur baby at your home, in the environment they are most comfortable in, will significantly lower the stress and anxiety of your pet.
Are you working outside the home or planning to be away during the day? I can also provide drop in visits to check on your pet, feed them, provide companionship and let them out to potty.
Does your pet need exercise? Schedule a walk. Whatever your pet related need, I am here to work with you on the best options.
