About My Business

I'm Rowan, a local dog walker, pet and house sitter servicing these Twin Cities suburbs: New Brighton, Arden Hills, St. Anthony & St. Anthony Park, Roseville, Falcon Heights, Como, Hamline-Midway and Macalester-Groveland. I stay north of the river and roughly between the I35s, though that’s a soft border. I’m insured and bonded, grew up in a rural area around small animals, and have been pet/house sitting since my teens. I’m a non-traditional (read: “older”) grad student making ends meet while I switch careers, turning an existing practice into a small business. With Wookie-Walks you get reliability, life-experience, patience, and a generally more mature caretaker for your home and pets than the kid next door. Rates are as follows:

Quick Service

Drop-by dog walking/pet feeding/30 minute play: $45

Drop-by litter scooping: $45

30 minute play visits: $45

50 minute play visits: $60

In-Home Stays

1-5 nights: $80/night

Weekly (6-7 nights): $400/week

If you’re going on sabbatical, or need other long-term services, let’s negotiate a rate together.

Included with in-home stays, I’ll bring in your mail, water your plants and rotate lights so it looks like you’re home while you’re away. Pets will be fed, watered, and receive regular exercise, sensory stimulation, and cuddles if they’re cuddlies – and not if they’re not. Happy to send you progress pics if you like. I do ask for Wi-Fi access while I’m there. Depending on distance from my own home and the length of a stay, I may also need to use your kitchen. I’ve also been known to mow a lawn or two and water a garden for my longer term clients, as well. We can work all of that out during a meet-and-greet, which I require to establish rapport before accepting any job.

Proof of shots, veterinary information, emergency contact information, and detailed care instructions etc. are also necessary before any services begin so I can ensure the health and safety of all of my critter clients, including yours!
