About My Business

Capital Critter Sitters is a professional and insured dog walking and pet sitting business in Washington DC -- Eastern Market/Lincoln Park. I will meet your needs whether you're working late, leaving early, or going on vacation. And I have been caring for furry friends since 2013.

Capital Critters Sitters is more than providing quality pet care. I have a personal agenda to make every pet and every client feel like family.

I am passionate about each visit, each walk, each dog and cat. I am committed not only to excellent service, but to making my 30 minutes with your pet some of the best time of their day. I hope they are as excited to see me as they are to see you.

I keep the service area compact to allow for minimum time between houses, maximizing my time with each animal. Please see my website for a picture of my current dog walking zone. For cat visits, I might extend it a few blocks in each direction. However, I do not go north of C St NE, east of 14th St NE/SE, south of Pennsylvania Ave, or west of 8th St NE/SE.

About me.. I left my job in May 2013 as a contractor at the Government Accountability Office to take over the Washington, D.C., branch of Capital Critter Sitters. After growing up in Michigan and graduating from Ferris State University, I eventually found my way to Washington. After 10 years and two different office jobs, I jumped at the chance to start this new outdoor career and has enjoyed every step. In addition to caring for animals, I am a coach at Old City CrossFit, and I enjoy running ultramarathons and other crazy outdoor adventures, then recovering with a good book or a jigsaw puzzle.
