About My Business

Hi - my name is Marty Aligata. I started my West Hartford, Connecticut pet sitting business in 2005. My clients are like my family and I love their pets as if they were my own. I am a sole proprietor, and the only substitutes I use are my wife and my sister. If I cannot accept a job, I will refer people to other local pet sitters who I feel comfortable recommending. I live in West Hartford, and only service clients who are located in town (or very nearby) so that I can cover all of the pets myself, even during bad weather. Living in close proximity to my customers is beneficial -- because I'm always close by, I can: stop in to sit with a dog who might be afraid of a passing thunderstorm; come back for a quick extra visit if a dog doesn't finish his business during my regular time; or do an extra visit if a client is working late or coming home later than expected from a trip. I'm currently pretty booked up during the week and I rarely do weekend coverage anymore, although I will for long-time customers.
